Sew Loka Featured in SDFC's "Unprecedented Unity Night" Fashion Show

Sew Loka was honored to be featured in San Diego FC's "Unprecedented Unity Night" fashion show, and Claudia brought the full range of her craft to the runway. Set against the iconic architecture of the Salk Institute in La Jolla, the collection showcased five original looks built entirely from the ground up: a patchwork denim jacket layered with community messaging, reworked Dickies, a handmade corset and skirt set, a one-of-one soccer ball bag, and the letterman jacket from our SDFC drop. Every piece told a story.

The patchwork denim jacket, reading "Protect Immigrants / SDFC Sin Fronteras" in bold lettering, was a reminder that slow fashion and social values have always gone hand in hand here at Sew Loka. Seeing Claudia's work walk in front of a packed crowd, representing Barrio Logan on one of San Diego's most iconic stages, was a full circle moment. This is what we build toward.
