"Mi Sueno Loka" opens inside VMOTA's Spotlight Gallery

Mi Sueño Loka at the @visionsmuseum !!! I created 4 x start to finish jackets for this exhibition located inside the Visions Museum of Textile Arts’s Spotlight Gallery my parents sacrificed and risked so much for a better life, not just for themselves, but for their future children too, they taught me sewing as a survival skill, and now I am able to use that same skill to make art and to inspire the next generation to keep creating I am sew grateful for the life my parents gave me, and this exhibition is dedicated to them, because they gave me a chance to dream, and now I am able to live inside that dream #misuenoloka

See these jackets in person on Saturday 5/10 from 1pm-4pm at #vmota in @artsdistrictlibertystation ill be there w the fam and will speak briefly about the “Mi Sueño Loka” exhibition and answer any questions and I can’t wait to say Hi and connect w everyone! The Visions Museum has sew many exciting new exhibitions opening on Saturday 5/10 from 1-4pm and it is going to be a beautiful celebration of textile art!!!! (featuring a super cool dance performance by the House of Peru )

Also, I am hosting a sewing workshop at #vmota on Monday 5/26 called “wear your story” where you can create meaningful patches using recycled fabrics and sew them onto your thrifted jacket #linkinbio it is going to be sew much fun!!! I look forward to sewing with you soon!!!!
